A little portrait of Tarynn, the lovely and grumpy aloes elf ^_^
Seeing her expression, you better run fast ! Elves in general don't like to be seen when they bath :3

I'm happy with how it turned out :) this is the kind of hard angle I try to get better at... It's a bit of a make or break thing. Either you pull it right and it gives a lot of dynamism to a picture, or you mess it up and the whole things end up looking horribly off XD

I always like your style. Every work you do is very llamative.

I have seen a very nice evolution on your art style, I think what works perfect in your works is your sense in proportions, your vision to make the images funny and sexy at the same time and what I think is your best talent, the colors you choose and your thecnique for make shadows and lights to have the perfect contrast.

Beleive me i have lot to people on my deviant watch list, but you arre one of my big favorites. And this image just corroborate that.

I love your work too much not to study it. I must seem like some sort of pest by now, and I apologize if I am. You're what has gotten me here in the first place, Grand Sire. Anyways...let's have a look...

This is a really good piece on plenty of different elements with perspective and landscaping done in one. It's very rich. But that's just some general stuff.

I always comment about your line variation in some form or another, and in here it actually works to the drawing's advantage. The use of thicker lines near the head, hair and arm areas really make the character pop out more, giving it a pseudo three-dimensional effect. Again, it's not as prominent as it could be, but considering the rest of the drawing, it's really working where it is.

As far as the figure goes perspective can easily ruin simple pieces like this. This has a great use of perspective and gives it, as you said, a dynamic feeling to it. While it's not perfect, as the figure's legs seem a little off in some aspects, it's definitely better than what I can do with perspective. Also this seems to be a different angle than what you usually work with, it's either someone looking up at a character, or a dramatic closeup of this angle, but utilized as a way to hide the real perspective of it, like a maw shot. I also think the way the trees sort of bend gives it a nice touch as it continues with the perspective ideas a bit more.

Now, the figure itself is sort of, standard fair. I don't lie, sexy women is all you draw. While I like more veristic work, like drawing salty, disgusting old men, I feel that this has some veristic aspects in terms of manga style drawings. The details near the eye sockets I think work really well to display not only a tired look, but an agitated one, or even perhaps some worry and suspicion in there. I personally think to make a little more dynamic, is to play about with the musculature near the brow ridge to really get some more eye based emotions from her, but that's just me. I also admire how the back is drawn, mainly the shoulder blade. It's a nice little effect. It's the legs that seem to have a bit of a problem as they seem to bend a little too far, even with the use of perspective. And...while I can tell you try to avoid feet like the plague, you should really try a little harder with them. May I suggest an entire sketch page devoted solely to drawing feet? No pun intended?

The landscape is truly wondrous here. Nice textures and little details are what make this work. I think the area around the base of the waterfall is a little odd, as it has no rippling effect about it. Perhaps the mist could be covering it, I don't know, but considering where there is rippling effects around other areas of the drawing, it would make sense to add some in there.

The last thing to comment on is the design of the page, only as far as the margins go. You usually present us with a nice clean black margin around the entire piece, yet this one has it missing at both the top and the bottom. If that was intentional, then alright, but it's such an odd choice. And I also realize you got out of drawing another foot by hiding it. Well played sir. Rob Liefeld would be proud of that. Oh, god is he terrible.

All in all, another great figure piece from such a great man. Keep doing whatever it is you do. And thank you for letting me talk about your art.

Look at it this way Tarynn. The fact that this person is staring at you mean they think you're attractive. It's not much I know but it's something.

I'm not really an artist so I won't offer a critique, but I have to say that I really like the style in this particular piece. Its that flat-ish and stylistic art that captures my attention the most, you know? Sort of like Ookami or Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker in terms of games. Charming style wins out over specific detail. While I love your other work, something about this one really catches my eye. Its not overly complicated or detailed, its just...charming! ^.^
