The colouring inthis piece is much richer and livelier than some of your older ones, I very much like this, I find it gives and much more lush feeling to it. I really like how the greens turn out.
The expression of the character is clear, it says "don't you mess with me" or in this case "Don't you eat the people I protect" a real success with the facial expression.
The drawing is very good, but I must say, the shape of the faces from your drawing and the eyes and such are similar to other characters you've done. Try adding a touch of variety.
In my mind it looks very close to Anna facially. It seems that the as far as character differences go it's only colour of the hair and skin. Even their facial builds and body structures are very similar. I believe Vivian had the most unique facial structure because of her narrower face and pointer chin. This facial structer I see her is similar to Crisis, Anna and other of the characters.
They are all very appealing femenine figures and faces, (heck pretty much the ideal female figure that anyone would drool over), but why not have some flat chestes, some thin, some buffer than others. Girls with adorable rounder faces, or elegant long slender faces. There's no wrong in what you're doing either, but adding a variety couldn't possibly hurt and would add uniqueness to the characters.
So overall the colouring in this pieces is my favourite of what you dished out so far. The art is good as you very well know, but I suppose it's the variety of character design in the artstyle. You're more than good at what you do, so perhaps a touch of something new and different wouldn't hurt.
I think this is a very well done submission. It really conveys the feeling of who she is and what she stands for. Her eyes alone give off the presence of a noble being, spirited, strong willed and generally good. Her expression is that of determination and readiness. I can honestly say that as with any character you draw you give a sense of life to them, and you're able to capture with art, what others put into text. It's entirely possible in most cases to look at one of your pictures first, then match them to their written descriptions. I stand by my original statement from when i saw a doodle of Malika: It's almost as if you can visualize a character exactly as their owner had when they first began writing about them.
As for the art itself, it's wonderfully done. The shading and light effects are nice, and the trees give a sense of scale to her. Going from :Iconravana3k: 's description of her-you hit it dead on the nose as far as i can tell, and that's both in actual appearance and personality.
